Before going to my next performance destination, I had to go back to Siliguri.
And my one and only most trusted companion, my car, broke down. I had no other option but to fix it myself. Frankly, I’ll be the awful choice to ask about any, literally any technical detail about the working of the car, like even its horsepower. But when life gives you no option, you are left with no choice. So, I connected with my mechanic back at home, and I ended up fixing it up, though it took me 3-4 hours.
The next stop was none other than Guwahati. The largest metropolis of Assam is situated on the banks of Brahmaputra. It has rich flora and fauna with one of the most beautiful roads and a serene view. I enjoyed its weather to the core. For Guwahati, 3 days was not enough, but I had limited time. I got connected with quite a number of people and developed some great networking relations. I have a friend there who owns a cafeteria in the area. He organised things and set up a whole stage for me to perform.
A cute kid came in between and started singing a beautiful song- Saiyaan. Everyone felt joyous, and we all enjoyed it together.
The next day, I went to a good-looking university. Unfortunately, many students were taking examinations. But my love for music and the desire to inspire was so strong that I played in front of the canteen. Interestingly, some free students came along and sang their local cultural songs. They also presented me with the Gamosa, which represents an Assamese cultural symbol. It was a heartfelt moment.
Overall, I had a great time jamming in Guwahati.
Then I left for Tezpur in Assam.
Lets see what it holds for me!
