Banaras – Close to my Heart

The city of Banaras welcomed me with its narrow streets and bustling charm. The ancient city of Banaras, known for its spirituality and rich cultural heritage, has been my next destination on this incredible journey. 

I had booked a hotel right in the middle of the city. Little did I know that this day would be packed with surprises and new experiences.

The following day, I was all set to explore the city. But the roads were so full of people and vehicles that it felt like a big traffic jam. I didn’t let that dampen my spirits, though. I squeezed through the small roads, eager to see what Banaras had to offer.

My excitement led me to a group of news reporters the following day. They were curious about my journey and the stories I had to tell. We decided to meet one of their reporters later in the day. And guess what? We ended up planning a music event together! It was unexpected but thrilling.

As the sun set, I found myself near a riverside area called a ghat. A young kid was having a blast, jumping into a pool. Suddenly, police officers arrived, but even they couldn’t help smiling at the kid’s antics.

Among the people watching was a lady who seemed interested in my story. When I started playing my guitar and singing, she joined in. It was like a magnet for others, too. Soon, a small crowd had gathered, all swaying to the music. It was amazing to see strangers come together and enjoy the moment.

Back at the hotel, a little surprise was waiting for me. A young Girl approached me, shyly, asking for a photo with my guitar. I couldn’t refuse that adorable request. The little boy was mesmerized, and I felt a warm sense of happiness knowing that my music could touch someone’s heart.

Seeing how my music influenced people made me happy. It’s a feeling that’s hard to put into words. It’s like a mix of feeling humble joyful, and realizing that music can connect people, no matter where they’re from.

As the day ended, I thought about all the unexpected moments that had come my way. Each encounter and melody made my day special. 

Banaras had given me a beautiful memory filled with music and the unity it brings. And with a heart full of gratitude, I looked forward to the adventures that the next destination would bring my way.
