Kochi & Mangalore Chronicles
Inspire the Nation, 2022; Kochi, the Queen of the Arabian Sea, welcomed me with open arms and a promise of enchantment. Its serene backwaters, historic architecture, and vibrant culture cast a spell that was impossible to resist. Little did I know that this leg of my journey would be a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with unexpected twists and heartwarming moments.
My first stop in Kochi led me to the sprawling Lulu Mall, a shopper’s paradise and a haven for those seeking entertainment. As I wandered through its bustling corridors, my curiosity led me to a chance encounter with the mall manager. He graciously offered me a spot to perform at the mall after learning about my musical mission.
Eager to share my music with the people of Kochi, I accepted his generous offer. The stage was set, and as I strummed my guitar and sang my heart out, I could feel the crowd’s energy resonating with my melodies. It was a good feeling, a reminder of the magic music can create in even the most unexpected places.
After my performance at Oberon Mall, I decided to take a day to enjoy the city and soak in its rich culture.
It was a day of blissful exploration, but it also brought me face to face-with a harsh reality—my funds had run dry.
Facing a momentary financial crisis, I turned to crowdfunding as a lifeline. Seeing the support and generosity of strangers who believed in my mission was humbling.
As I navigated the ups and downs of my journey, I found myself teetering on the brink of a mental breakdown. My mission’s exhaustion, uncertainty, and weight had taken their toll. But I refused to give in to despair. I reminded myself that home is not just a physical place; the resilience and determination within us make us feel at home wherever we go.
My next destination was Mangalore, where I would once again share the gift of music with the world. Mangalore was good to me. Despite networking, I couldn’t find a place to perform, which humbled my musical journey.
Onto the next destination!
